Who do they think they are? by Ryan Explain to me how the manufacturers of this cornet think they can get away with calling it "Bach" and "Stradivarius"? When these two names are SO important in the music world, who do they think they're going to fool? I'm fairly certain Stradivarius only made string instruments, and to date no one has been able to copy them in terms of quality. I hardly think this joke of a company can not only copy his level of perfection but somehow translate it to a brass instrument!
And Bach? Sure, I know there are other people still alive with this name, possibly even the owner of this company, but when you're going into the music industry, you just don't use a name like that unless you want everyone (like me) to think you're just trying to use it to get attention! It would only make sense if "Bach" was a model name, reflecting a Baroque period-instrument model.
Oh well, I've never used one obviously so I can't comment on the actual quality, I just think the naming is pathetic. Who do you think you are, Ryan? by Anti-Ryan Bach refers to "Vincent Bach", who was the founder of the Bach Corporation. Stradivarius refers to the professional line of his instruments. A Bach Stradivarius is one of the best professional instruments available right now. I think Stradivarius would be VERRY PROUD to attach his name to this quality instruments! So come on, lighten up, you are looking problems on places there aren't. Know-Nothing Rant by DP Ryan's know-nothing rant about the Bach and Stradivarius names as applied to brass instruments is almost comical. That brand of instruments has been around for over 80 years and is one of the acknowledged leaders in the manufacture of superior brass instruments. Early in his trumpet-building days, someone remarked that V. Bach was building the "Stradivari" of trumpets, and he adopted the name for his top model line. Do a little research next time before embarassing yourself... | Add Your Comments: | |
